When Jesus appears to the hiding apostles the second time, he shows Doubting Thomas his wounds to prove, it’s really him. Jesus then commands Thomas to not disbelieve, but believe. How should we understand that kind of active language with respect to “believing”? Should it make us uncomfortable?
